It looks better than images. I was gratefully impressed with design and details, it's little heavy like others 15.6". I think, that the performance and other qualities are accord with the offered setup. The unique detail that I didn't like, was the amoung of additional preinstalled software.

As a writer, I need a laptop mainly for writing and some entertainment. I've found just the right fit in this system.
This unit has a large 15.6 inch screen, with vivid colours and varied display profiles, that I can use to minimise eye strain in all types of lighting. The sound system is a pleasant surprise, and though not very loud, can handle everything from vocal music to the soft bass of Kizomba or Zouk music. Impressive.
The keyboard is nice and very responsive. I have a heavy typing action from the mechanical keyboard I used earlier, but this keyboard seemed to do just fine, and has very little flex. The touch pad is sensitive, and I strongly recommend reading the user manual for how to use it effectively. There are several multi-touch options that make life very easy!
The charger has a conveniently long cable, but I will be buying an extension box just in case. This computer is not very light, so if you are of small build, or will need to lug this one around a lot, I suggest using a backpack-type laptop bag for comfort. For the price and screen size though, I think this is a good trade-off.
The battery lasted about 4 1/2 hours when I used MS Word and watched some youtube, perfect for an afternoon of writing at a coffee shop.
This system is in no way a computing powerhouse, and got a little sluggish while installing MS Office, and was noticably slower while running the anti-virus scan. I don't game much anymore, but would suggest going for a laptop with a distinct video card and video memory if you would like to play games. If using office packages, going on Facebook, and watching the odd DVD are your thing, this laptop is perfect!
This system is beautiful to look at! The term 'mocha' is misleading. It has a rich dark pattern on top, and textured metal around the keyboard that makes it look really sophisticated. If you are picky about colours and prefer black or brighter shades, a laptop skin for the top may be in order. Otherwise, this computer has great design, good lines, and is pleasing to the eye. I don't believe that the pictures on this site do it justice; I will be uploading some of my own when I find the time.
This computer comes with a lot of bundled software. Most of these are Asus tools to manage power and the display, and though others find these unnecessary, I think they contain features worth looking at. There is no productivity software on this, so I added MS Office that I bought separately. I also added the free version of AVG Anti-Virus, and Google Chrome, a browser that I use almost exclusively now. I am still in the process of setting up this computer, and will make it a point to build recovery disks as soon as I have it configured the way I like.
Be ready for a lot of updates though; this unit needs about 260MB in Windows updates out of the box. I suggest doing them immediately.
I think this is a laptop that you can't help but be pleased with! I'll add more to this review if something comes to mind.
For the record, I did not buy this laptop directly from Amazon, but had it imported on order because Amazon doesn't ship to India. I found the reviews on this site very helpful in my decision and decided to add my own, so that other users could make a more informed choice.

I just got this laptop yesterday and I gotta say, I'm loving it so far. I'm usually a hardcore mac person, but I just couldn't afford a new apple laptop, so I decided to go with a windows one. I researched quite a bit before finally going with this particular asus model and I did this for several reasons. First off, I am a gamer, so I definitely wanted a laptop that would let me do that. I fired up my steam account with this computer and I was able to run portal pretty well. The graphics aren't super high end, and things seem to slow down if you're running things on a high setting, but overall I'm satisfied. I'm currently playing the witcher on it and I have no complaints so far. Again though, this computer isn't going to run Rage or Crysis but, for simple gaming needs, it's not too bad.
Another feature I used almost instantly was the HDMI. I was able to hook it up to my 32" panasonic viera with no problem, no lag or anything. of course the laptop runs along with it but I still think it's a pretty awesome feature. The power adapter is pretty long too so it didn't really add to the clutter and I was able to hide it pretty well.
The sound is pretty good, not amazing or anything, and the battery life is a little over 4 hours unplugged, but it's a pretty big laptop, so I kinda knew the battery life was gonna be kinda short. The adapter is pretty tiny though, and long enough to not get in the way. I didn't believe it when other reviews said it was whisper quiet, but lo and behold, my 360 runs louder than this laptop, and it's further away. It also doesn't get very hot, which is a pretty nice feature to include.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. For a full-sized laptop under $400.00, you probably couldn't find a better value than this one. I highly recommend it. :)
Afterthought: I just remembered that I use a USB mouse with this laptop. The touchscreen isn't that great, so I highly recommend that you get a real mouse to use with it.
