This bowl set is perfect as designed for dips. We use crushed ice in the bottom which as it melts it forms a block around the stainless bowl and keeps it very cold. It also has a plastic lid so if you don't eat all your dip you can cover and set in the refrigerator. Clean up with mild soap and water, then towel dry to avoid spots. Good price and a great product.

Thanks to Amazon for giving me a way to protect my dip with ice. Keeps it fresh for sure. I've quit using plastic next to food, so very glad the insert is stainless steel.

This is an awesome concept and bowl.. but I wish they made this in a little larger size, as I made a double batch of dip and could not fit it all in this small bowl. Using chipped ice works best, and kept the guacamole cold for hours! HOWEVER.... when it came time for storage, the plastic lid fit so tight it would not stay on. It was very very hard to press down underneath the lip of the bowl. And when we finally did get it pushed down all the way around, the lid popped itself off in the fridge! ? Strange. So, great bowl. Crappy lid. I guess you can always use plastic wrap instead, but kind of defeats the purpose of the lid now, doesn't it.
